"I will probably present the new cabinet list to the president on Wednesday if I can get an appointment," PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday.
After Abdullah Gul was elected the 11th president of Turkey, Erdogan told reporters that he hoped that it would be in the best interest of Turkey, Turkish Republic and the nation as a whole.
"I consider his election a favorable outcome reached by the parliament for a more advanced democracy," Erdogan stressed and thanked political parties and independent parliamentarians for attending the general assembly.
Erdogan added that he and Gul would keep working for the country shoulder to shoulder and hand in hand during the forthcoming period.
