Fighters' families set to leave Lebanon camp
The families of fighters besieged in a Palestinian refugee camp in northern Lebanon are set to be evacuated from the battered camp on Friday, an army spokesman told AFP.

"The evacuation will take place this afternoon," said the spokesman, who did not want to be identified. "Once we reach agreement on the time and place, the army will impose a ceasefire one hour before the evacuation."

The planned evacuation comes more than three since the outbreak of deadly fighting in the Nahr al-Bared camp between Lebanese troops and the Fatah al-Islam.

A military source told AFP that the evacuation of the last remaining civilians, about 22 women and 41 children, would take place at 2:30 pm (1130 GMT).
