Five killed in Nile cruise ship fire: security source

Five Egyptians were killed and two others were injured on Sunday when their cruise ship caught fire, a security source said.

"The fire broke out in the engine room and quickly spread through the ship," the source said.

Forty-three French tourists on board the MS Aurora were evacuated safely to another cruise vessel, the source added.

The ship had been sailing from Luxor, site of the ancient city of Thebes, to Egypt's southernmost city of Aswan when the blaze broke out.
