Foreign ministers of state members of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) will hold their 34th meeting in the Pakistani capital city of Islamabad under the theme of "Convention for Peace, Harmony, and Progress."

Foreign ministers of state members of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) will hold their 34th meeting in the Pakistani capital city of Islamabad under the theme of "Convention for Peace, Harmony, and Progress," a statement by OIC said here on Sunday.

Paramount among topics of discussion at the three-day meeting will be the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the situation in Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Afghanistan, peace prospects for the Jammu-Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan, and the Iranian-IAEA cooperation regarding Iran's nuclear activities, indicated the statement.

Furthermore the meeting will look into the livelihood of Muslim minority communities in non-OIC states like the Philippines and Thailand in addition to probing into means of strengthening cooperation among OIC member states in science, health, technology, and environmental fields. The convening ministers will moreover discuss OIC's financial status and a newly sanitized version of its Charter. They will also deal for the first time with the issue of "Islamophobia," said the OIC statement.
