Israeli authorities released on Monday a jailed former Minister, Genen Segev, the daily Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported.
The former minister was convicted of attempting to smuggle 32,000 "ecstasy pills" into Israel from Europe.
He was released from jail 19 months after the court decided to shorten his five-year sentence for good behavior, the paper added.
Segev used his diplomatic passport to smuggle the drugs.
