Three victims of an armed attack outside the U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul were laid to rest in their hometowns on Friday.
Four gunmen attacked the U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul with pistols and shotguns on Wednesday, killing there police officers. Three assailants were also killed in the clash.
One of the victims, 21-year-old police officer Onder Sacmalioglu, was laid to rest in Bahce town of the southern province of Osmaniye.
The other victim of the attack, 25-year-old police officer Nedim Calik was buried after a funeral in Caykent hamlet of the northeastern province of Rize.
The third victim, 28-year-old police officer Erdal Oztas was laid to rest in Karahacip hamlet of the central province Corum.
People who participated in the three funerals condemned the attack while citizens hang Turkish flags on their houses, work places and vehicles to react to attack.
