The Islamic University in Gaza City estimated damage to its buildings and facilities at 15 million US dollars, Palestinian news agency reported.
The damage, caused by several airstrikes during Israel's offensive, saw several buildings destroyed and others severely damaged.
Ma'an reported the University's board of trustees met with the president of the university Dr Kamalein Sha'ath Sunday and announced that the university will launch a fundraising campaign in order to pay for repairs.
Chair of the board of trustees, Jamal Al-Khudari announced a second fundraising campaign aimed at collecting 10 million US dollars to cover tuition for students who lost homes and family members during the war on Gaza.
