Baveria State of Germany is getting ready to open an agency in İstanbul to promote relations.

German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced that the office would open January 1, but the official inaguration would be made during Baverian Economy Minister Martin Zeil's trip to Turkey between March 17-19.

In the statement, Zeil said they hoped to promote bilateral relations particularly in the
area of commerce. He said foreign offices were a good instrument for promotion of foreign trade.

Secretary General of German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry Marc Landau will be the official representative.

The office will offer bilateral trade opportunities for companies operating in the areas of renewable energy and enviromental technology, machinery and equipment, information technology, telecomunications and infrastructure projects.

The current trade volume between Turkey and State of Baveri is 4 Billion Euro.
