German Foreign Minister witnessed Israeli bombings over Gaza while he was visiting Egypt's Rafah border with Gaza strip on Saturday.

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier is on Sunday in Israel on the second day of his Middle East mediation trip.
In Jerusalem, he met with Israeli President Schimon Peres to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip.
On Saturday, Germany will help Egypt to block any supplies through tunnels on the border to the Gaza Strip by sending a team, the German foreign minister said .
Gazans are trying to remain alive under heavy Israel bombardments and killings.
"We agreed in the next few days a group from Germany will travel to Egypt to see how we can help equip police and provide training," Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier told reporters after talks with his Egyptian counterpart.
After talks with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak earlier on Saturday, Steinmeier suggested the a U.N. Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire was "not enough to provide the conditions for a ceasefire".
