A frigate of the German Naval Forces was opened to visitors at the Mediterranean Mersin port of Turkey on Saturday.
The German frigate "Hessen", which travelled to Turkey from Lebanon, anchored at Mersin port with its 255 personnel on board. The ship was later opened to visitors.
"Hessen", the most modern ship of the German navy, was launched in 2006 and it weighs 5-600 tons, officials told A.A reporter.
The frigate is the largest German ship that arrived at a Turkish port in recent years, officials added.
"Hessen" is expected to depart from Mersin on July 21st.
