Turkey's Energy Minister Hilmi Guler said Wednesday that Turkey wanted to invest in Kyrgyzstan's underground resources and energy sector.
Guler who is visiting Bishkek together with a large delegation met with his Kirghiz counterpart Ilyas Davydov.
Speaking during the meeting, Guler pointed out that Turkey also wanted to make investments in Kyrgyzstan in the area of Geothermal energy.
Guler said Turkey was ready to offer its know-how and experience in the field of hydroelectric power plants. He said if needed, Turkey could send its experts and engineers to Kyrgyzstan for this purpose adding that Kyrgz experts could visit Turkey as well.
In his part, Davydov said they encouraged Turkey to make investments in Kyrgyzstan expressing his wish for the tarde volume between tye countries to be increased.
Davydov said Kyrgyzstan had great potential for hydroelectricity adding that it was only able to utilise ten percent of its coal resources.
Davydov said Kyrgyzstan especially needed investments for technologies used in synthetics and wool products and construction materials.
