Ismail Haniyeh welcomed the representatives of Viva Palestine Convoy, which reached Gaza after a 21-day long journey.
Members of Turkish organisations, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation President Bulent Yildirim and board members, and Mazlumder President Ahmet Faruk Unsal were among the visitors, the group said.
Ismail Haniyeh gave the Palestinian scarf signed with 'courage award' to the guests. He also delivered a letter written to the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the IHH President Bulent Yildirim.
Haniyeh said he invited Erdogan to Gaza in the letter.
Speaking at the visit, Haniyeh thanked the convoy that rushed to the aid of the people of Gaza from thousands of km away and all the people of Turkey.
Haniyeh said that "All the Palestinians respect you. You reached Gaza with great effort, after all hurdles."

"We followed you from the beginning, lived and felt your difficulties with you, prayed to Allah for your safety. There is a great love and happiness in the hearts of the people of Gaza, because you came here.
"I see your visit as an opportunity. We offer our love and restect for our brothers in Turkey. And as leaders, as well as the government and the people, we send our love to Turkey."
Haniyeh also thanked the IHH for their help. Saying the help is the symbol of the "importance of Islamic brotherhood", he said.
IHH President Bulent Yıidirim announced that they will go to Palestine via ships after the convoy to make the embargo pointless.
Reacting Egyptian polices' attack to the convoy, Yildirim thanked Jordan and Syria for their contribution.
Meanwhile, keys of 145 vehicles that brought with the convoy were handed over to the authorities. IHH President Bulent Yildirim, Murat Mercan, AK Party deputies Husnu Tuna, Mehmet Nil Hidir, Seracettin Karayagiz, Cemal Yilmaz Demir, vice president of Saadet Party Temel Karamollaoglu, Palestine Social Affairs Minister Ahmed El-Kurdu and George Galloway attended the 'key ceremony.'
