'India a serious market for Turkish businessmen'

Mediterranean Exporters' Union (AKIB) chairman Engin Tan Narin said on Sunday that development speed of India has reached nine percent, while the country's export volume is 150 billion USD and import volume is 200 billion USD.

He added that India is a serious market for Turkish businessmen.

Narin recalled that Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen and representatives from many sectors visited India recently, and they closely examined the investment opportunities in that country.

Narin noted that the trade volume between Turkey and India is 2.5 billion USD.

Noting that Indians are positive towards Turkish investments, Narin said that they also show interest to qualified and expensive products which have trademarks.
