Indian troops martyred three caretakers of a madrassa  in Shopian area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district dubbing them as liberation activists. The madrassa imparted religious education to 140 children of the area.

In occupied Kashmir, the Indian troops of Rashtriya Rifles 18 and 19 in their fresh act of state terrorism, destroyed a residential house by mortar shelling in Sugam area of Kupwara district. Three dead bodies were recovered from the debris.

Unidentified gunmen killed a shopkeeper at Khrew in Pampore.

A civilian Nazir Ahmad Wani and two policemen were injured in indiscriminate military firing at Margarmal Bagh, in Srinagar. An army man of 37-Rashtriya Rifles, Sepoy Romesh Singh was injured in an attack at Salwa in Mendhar area.

Forceful protest demonstrations continued in Shopian, Chatragul in Islamabad and Rawalpora in Srinagar against custodial killings and state terrorism. 

The enraged protestors, raising high-pitched anti-India and pro-liberation slogans, staged sit-ins, in front of the office of Deputy Commissioners Pulwama and Islamabad. 

The Indian troops arrested five youth during house raids in Srinagar, Kangan and Bijbehara areas.
