A curfew that has seen Baghdad locked down during three days of fighting will be lifted from 6:00 a.m. (0300 GMT), although cars will still not be permitted to move in three districts, the Iraqi government said on Sunday.
"The leadership of Baghdad will lift the curfew for all of Baghdad at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow. The curfew will continue for vehicles in Shula, Kadhimiya and Sadr City," said a government statement by a spokesman.
The three mainly Shi'ite districts have seen fierce combat over the past six days.
