Iraqi PM to come to Ankara for talks
Iraqi Prime Minister El Maliki met Sunday with Turkey's envoy to Baghdad, Derya Kanbay, telling Kanbay that Iraq would "forbid all PKK activities" in response to renewed urgency from Ankara on the terror group's actions in the region.

Meanwhile, well known Kurdish politician Mahmut Otman, a member of the largest Kurdish bloc--the Kurdish Alliance-- in Iraq, speaking in the Iraqi Parliament, asserted that "if there were political freedom in Turkey, and if they could work without being the target of violence, the PKK wouldn't even come to Iraq."

Sources in Ankara also report that Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri El-Maliki has accepted an offer from Prime Minster Recep Tayyip Erdogan to come to Ankara for face to face talks.
