Iraqi Vice President expected to visit Turkey
CNN-Türk said Iraqi Vice President Tariq al-Hashemi is expected to pay a visit to Istanbul on April 30.

TV said Hashemi and his Turkish interlocutors will discuss the future of Iraq, the oil law and the referendum to determine the status of oil-rich city of Kırkuk, TDN reported.

Turkey was shocked by the Iraqi government's decision to exclude the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) and its subsidiary company, TPIC, from a list of 35 companies deemed qualified to explore natural gas and oil in the energy-rich southern part of the country.

Turkish officials believe Turkish companies will later be included in the list and continue to put pressure on Iraq.
