The Israeli mini cabinet for political and security affairs will hold an extraordinary meeting to discuss the military incursion, after hearing latest reports on Gaza's security conditions.

Israel Radio said council members had difference of opinions regarding the attack, while political sources predicted that the council would endorse executing "precise attacks" that would target those responsible for the attacks.

If approved, the attack would also target arms depots and workshops, according to the radio.

Israeli Army had positioned a large number of tanks and equipment at the northern and eastern outskirts of Gaza, apparently preparing for the major military attack.

Separately, al-Quds Brigades; the military wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, said in a statement today that tens of female martyrs were ready to face any projected attack on Gaza.

The statement stressed that all Palestinian resistance factions were ready to face any that may be aggression carried out by the Israeli Army, adding that attacking Gaza would not be "an easy picnic" for the Israeli soldiers.

No sooner had the latest truce between Fatah and Hamas taken effect, than Israel killed three more Palestinians in four pre-dawn air strikes of Sunday, May 20.

Predawn attacks

Residents said that two more air strikes were aimed at metal workshops, one was in the northern part of the coastal Gaza Strip and the other in Gaza City.

Both were destroyed and there were no casualties.

Israel began the wave of air strikes against Hamas targets in Gaza on Wednesday.

Four Palestinians were killed in air strikes on Saturday, May 19.

The deaths bring to 22 the number of Palestinians, including 18 Hamas activists, killed in Israeli strikes.
