Israel and Syria, which ended two days of indirect peace talks mediated by Turkey on Monday, want to continue their talks and agreed to meet regularly, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"The talks took place in a constructive and positive atmosphere," the ministry statement said.
The government source, who declined to be named, said the parties had agreed on the timing of the third and fourth rounds of talks but declined to give further details.
Israel and Syria said last month they had launched indirect peace talks mediated by Turkish officials, the first negotiations between the two sides in eight years.
