Israel's Bnei Hasharon basketball team departed from Turkey early on Wednesday after their game with Turk Telekom in Euro Cup was suspended on Tuesday due to heavy protest by audience.
A group of audience chanted slogans against Israel's offensive on Gaza during the game at the Ataturk Sports Arena in the Turkish capital, Ankara as they hurled coins and other objects at the players.
The game was delayed due to the on-court disturbance before Bnei Hasharon refused to play despite the arena was cleared of the fans.
The situation will be reviewed by the disciplinary judge to give the final ruling. Under league rules the refusal to play a game by a team can be sanctioned and the opposing team can be declared as the winner of the game by 20-0.
