Israeli envoy says relations with Turkey to go back to normal soon
"We have seen similar drawbacks in the relations before and I am sure that our relations will go back to normal," Gaby Levy said.
Israeli ambassador in Ankara, the Turkish capital, expressed confidence on Friday that relations between the two countries would go back to normal soon after a heated panel discussion on Gaza at the World Economic Forum.
"We have seen similar drawbacks in the relations before and I am sure that our relations will go back to normal," Gaby Levy told a press briefing.
Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan walked off the stage in the panel on Thursday after he was cut off by a moderator as he was responding to remarks by Israeli President Shimon Peres.
"I believe that both countries need to calm down a bit and re-start to work on issues regarding peace and their respective interests," Levy said.
