Italy, Saudi, Denmark offer their condolences to Turkey

The president of Italy, the king of Saudi Arabia and the prime minister of Denmark offered Wednesday their over the recent terrorist attacks that killed 17 and wounded many other in Istanbul.

Italian president Giorgio Napolitano sent a message to Turkish President Abdullah Gul stating that his country rejected terrorism and all kinds of political violence, the presidential press office said on Wednesday.

Napolitano said in his message that Italy strongly condemned the recent attacks in Istanbul and it stood together with Turkey.

During a phone conversation with Gul, King Abdallah bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia expressed his sorrow over the attacks and said that he condemned the recent incident in Istanbul's Gungoren neighborhood.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen and Foreign Minister Dr. Per Stig Moller of Denmark sent condolence letters to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ali Babacan.

Rasmussen and Moller said in the letters that they condemned Sunday's terrorist attacks in Istanbul.
