Two makeshift rockets landed harmlessly outside Palestinian villages in the occupied West Bank on Monday, residents said, it was fired from neighbouring Jewish settlers of launching an attack.
Residents of the villages of Odala and Awarta, south of the West Bank city of Nablus, said two rockets were fired from Jewish settlement of Yitzhar. A Reuters Television cameraman saw a projectile, about 45 centimetres (18 inches) long, burning in a field.
An Israeli army spokesman declined to comment, saying it was a police matter. An Israeli police spokesman said he had no information about the incident.
A week ago, Israeli police arrested a Yitzhar settler on suspicion of firing a rocket at a village in the area last month.
