Cuba Ranked Number One As The Highest Rate Of Smoking With 40 Percent Of residents Smoking At Least One Cigarette Per Day.

The Poll Found The Countries With The Highest Rates Of Smoking Ranged From the Poorest To The Wealthiest Across Several Continents.

The Countries With The Lowest Smoking Rates Were Nigeria, Six Percent, El salvador And Ghana, Both With Eight Percent.

Regionally, The Middle East Ranked Fifth Overall With 25 Percent Of smokers, Sandwiched Between North European, 26 Percent, And South Europe, 25 Percent.

Regions With The Highest Median Rated Of Smoking Are The Former Soviet countries In The Commonwealth Of Independent States (cis), 29 Percent, Central europe, 29 Percent, And The European Union 28 Percent.
