Libyan authorities are likely to return the passport of Swiss businessman Rachid Hamdani on Thursday allowing him to return home, his lawyer said.
A Libyan court found Hamdani not guilty of visa related charges on Sunday. He and compatriot Max Goeldi have been in Libya for 18 months after being barred from leaving the country.
"I think he (Hamdani) will get his passport back today so he can go back home," the lawyer, Salah Zahaf, said by telephone from Tripoli.
