Macedonia hit by light earthquake west of Skopje

A light earthquake of magnitude 4.9 hit 60 km (37 miles) west of the Macedonian capital Skopje on Thursday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, but local officials said it did not cause any damage.
