In a gesture of solidarity and communal amity, members of the Muslim community on Sunday donated 100 bottles of blood for the serial blast victims, Times of India reported.
A total of 100 members of the Muslimcommunity got together on Sunday at the Bhagyoday complex on Relief Road to donate blood.
"The volunteers donated 100 bottles of blood. We feel that the terror attack was on humanity at large. So, in the time of such calamity everyone should stay united and join hands with each other,'' said Khurshid Bapu, a mobile shop owner who was one of those who organized the blood donation camp.
Forty-five people were killed and nearly 200 others were injured when at least 16 bombs went off in several crowded neighborhoods of Ahmadabad. The attack came a day after seven smaller blasts killed two people in the southern technology hub of Bangalore.
