Other members of the Organization of Islamic Conference, (OIC) might join Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei in sending their army for peacekeeping in the strife torn Lebanon as soon an unconditional ceasefire is enforced.

Foreign Minister, Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar, said other member countries have also stated their interest to send their army in the peacekeeping mission.

Datuk Seri Syed Hamid who did not mention the interested countries had also states their interest to send their army in the peacekeeping mission.

Datuk Seri Syed Hamid who did not mention the interested countries said the teams from Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei are ready to leave for Lebanon at anytime now.

Speaking to reporters after the official launching of the Kuala Kangsar Wanita, Youth and Puteri UMNO division meetings, Datuk Seri Syed Hamid, said what is needed now is for the United Nations to act fast because any further delay will cause more destruction and lost of life not o­nly in Lebanon but also Israel.

Mr.Albar also pointed out that as members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, sending weapons and soldiers to Hezbollah should be thought on.
