No survivors in Cambodian air crash

Search teams scouring dense jungle terrain in southern Cambodia have located the wreckage of a crashed tourist aircraft, and found no survivors.

Government officials confirmed that none of the 22 people on board the Russian-made AN-24 aircraft, mostly South Korean and Czech tourists, survived the crash during a storm on Monday.

"All have died. It is confirmed," Khieu Kanharith, the Cambodian information minister, said on Wednesday.

The 22 included 13 South Koreans, three Czech nationals, a Russian pilot and five local crew members.

The wreckage was discovered by a helicopter about 50 kilometres from its destination.

The aircraft operated by Progress Multi Transportation (PMT) Air dropped off the radar five minutes before it was due to land at Sihanoukville on Cambodia's southern coast.
