The number of workers dropped 66.86 percent in January-February, 2009 when compared with the same period of 2008.

The number of Turkish workers who go to foreign countries to work dropped in 2009.

The number of workers, who were sent abroad by Turkish Employment Organization (ISKUR), dropped 66.86 percent in January-February, 2009 when compared with the same period of 2008.

A total of 13,930 workers were sent to foreign countries in January-February 2008, while this figure decreased to 4,616 in the same period of 2009.
