Official says Turkey may privatize more public ventures
Head of Turkey's privatization authority said Monday government may move to privatize more public ventures once fallout from a global financial malady clears.
"As the dust will settle down and the effects of the crisis go away, new public institutions will be included in the privatization portfolio," said Metin Kilci, chairman of the Privatization Administration.
Kilci said country's state-owned crude oil and natural gas pipelines and trading company BOTAS, MKE a Turkish company which manufactures and supplies ammunition, rockets, explosives, powders and pyrotechnic products for the Turkish Armed Forces, and the Coal Mining Company were on the list of future privatization projects.
