The secretary general of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) wished Tuesday that the new government of Pakistan make this country more prosperous.
Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu met new Pakistani PM Yusuf Raza Gillani and FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Islamabad, Ihsanoglu's office said Wednesday.
The meeting took place in the Pakistani capital, which is hosting a meeting of standing committee on scientific & technological cooperation of the organization.
Gillani, in his part, said an integrated approach should be assumed against problems the Muslims are facing, and condemned attacks against Islam. He also qualified Islam as a religion of peace.
On the other hand, Qureshi thanked Ihsanoglu for his support to solve Kashmir dispute and reacted against a film --"Fitna", defaming and denigrating the Holy Qoran.
Ihsanoglu said Muslims should react to such films or stances in coordination and under the auspices of the OIC.
Gillani got the confidence of the parliament on March 24th and became the new premier of Pakistan.
