KUALA LUMPUR: The world's largest Islamic grouping, OIC, will demand an unconditional ceasefire to fighting in West Asia and ask the UN to include Muslim nations in its peacekeeping missions in Lebanon or Palestine, at an emergency summit in Malaysia tomorrow (Thursday). Leaders and top officials from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, Turkey, Qatar, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and the Palestinian authority are among those attending tomorrow's meeting at Putrajaya, Malaysia's administrative capital.
Malaysia is the chair of the world's largest Muslim grouping. Fifty-seven Muslim nations are members of the OIC. "The meeting is to discuss the current situation and development in Lebanon and Palestine for determining action to be taken by the OIC countries," an official statement said.
