Israeli newspaper reported "Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's close advisers, Yoram Turbowicz and Shalom Turgeman, embarked on a covert visit to Turkey on Sunday to prepare for a second round of indirect negotiations with Syria."
Israel and Syria announced last month that they were resuming negotiations using Turkish mediators.
The report said "Turgeman and Turbowicz have taken part in a number of meetings in Istanbul over moving the negotiations forward."
"But no progress has been announced. Talks in Turkey may resume at the end of the week, sources said," the report added.
