One Turkish soldier killed by PKK attack

One sergeant was killed in a terrorist attack Tuesday on the Uzuncayir Gendarmerie Station in eastern province of Tunceli, it was reported.

According to Tunceli Governor's Office, terrorists fired on Uzuncayir Gendarmerie Station with long range rifles at around 9:00 p.m..

Sergeant Bahtiyar Simsek was killed in the terrorist attack.

Operations are underway in the region to capture the terrorists responsible for tonight's attack.
