One Turkish soldier and three PKK members have been killed in separate clashes in eastern and northern Turkey, the Anadolu news agency reported on Tuesday.
One soldier was killed and one injured when PKK members fired upon soldiers near a military post in the Black Sea province of Gumushane.
Gumushane Governor Enver Salihoglu said PKK members using long-range rifles had fired on gendarmes, military police responsible for security in rural areas, who were returning to base near the village of Kirikli at around 9 am (0600 GMT) on Tuesday after having carried out a routine patrol.
He said the injured gendarme was not in a life-threatening condition.
In the eastern province of Erzincan three PKK members were killed and one injured on Monday in fighting with Turkish soldiers.
