A tribesman committed suicide following the death of his all family members in an air strike by NATO troops last week.
Pikhawar Khan, 70, of the Gangikhel tribe committed suicide when he saw the bodies of nine members of his family, including three women and four children, local press reported Monday.
About 42 tribesmen were killed when NATO helicopters fired several rockets in Data Khel.
Military spokesman, Waheed Arshad, initially denied the report and said the explosion was caused by a bomb blast inside the camp.
But NATO-led forces in a statement in Kabul admitted that civilians in Pakistan had been killed in recent strikes.
