Pakistan's top court blocks 2007 amnesty
Pakistan's top court ruled against an amnesty decree that protected President Zardari, some aides and others from graft charges.
Pakistan's top court ruled on Wednesday against an amnesty decree that protected President Asif Ali Zardari, some aides and others from graft charges, further damaging a deeply unpopular leader seen as pro-American.
The Supreme Court said the 2007 amnesty was unconstitutional, television channels reported.
The decision will raise fresh doubts about Zardari's political future, even though he is protected from prosecution by presidential immunity.
