Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has indicated that "the separatist terrorism targeting Turkey's unity and solidarity could not reach its target thanks to the will and determination of Turkish people and army."
Prime Minister Erdogan sent a message to General Staff Chief Gen. Ilker Basbug after three Turkish troops were killed in an armed attack of PKK militants in southeastern Turkey.
In his message, Prime Minister Erdogan expressed profound sorrow over killing of troops and offered his condolences.
He vowed that "Turkish people and army would not allow separatist terrorism to reach its target."
Earlier in the day, three troops were killed and twelve others were injured when PKK militants opened fire on a military vehicle with long-range weapons in Cizre town of southeastern province of Sirnak.
