PM Hariri calls for Turkish investments in Lebanon

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri participated in a luncheon hosted by the Turkish-Lebanese Business Council of the Foreign Economic Relations Board in Istanbul on Tuesday.

Delivering a speech at the meeting, Hariri said his government would work hard on signing of a free trade agreement between the two countries and they would achieve success on it.

The goal of Turkey and Lebanon was to reach economic prosperity and improve economic relations in the region, Hariri said.

Lebanese prime minister said he wanted Turkish businessmen to invest in Lebanon and make good use of opportunities in his country.

"The private sector can be improved by support of the government. I am working to create these conditions," he said.

Lifting of visa procedure between Turkey and Lebanon was a concrete and important step for the two countries, Hariri added.
