Protest resignation from two Turkish air generals
The Air Forces Command has been stirred by two surprise resignations after the Supreme Military Court (YAŞ) was held.

The Major General Orhan Uğurluoğlu resigned although there were two years left for his resignation. His past was brilliant, but after a sex scandal he was moved to the position at the Ministry.

The other resignation was that of the Brigadier General Muzaffer Karaca, who was not promoted to the YAŞ; his duty period was prolonged for one year.

The resignations have not been officially processed. It has been claimed that one of the brilliant generals, Major General Uğurluoğlu, has resigned because he has not been moved to the position he wanted.

The Brigadier General Karaca also resigned due to not being promoted.

The Major General Uğurluoğlu was an Assistant Adviser at the Ministry of Defense, and he was assigned to the command of the Air Force School.

In March 2006, 6 male and female students were claimed to have sexual intercourse within the school, and he was taken from his position to the new one in the Ministry of Defense.

It is stated that he decided to resign because he remained in his current position this year and he will be promoted in minimum 2 years.

The Brigadier General Karaca was formerly the commander of one of the strategically important military bases of Turkey. It has been stated that his resignation will be processed this week.
