Russian police detained about 10 supporters of jailed Russian oil tycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky outside the Moscow court where he appeared on Tuesday on fresh charges, a Reuters reporter said.
The reporter said police detained the supporters as they shouted "Freedom to political prisoners, freedom to Mikhail Khodorkovsky."
Khodorkovsky appeared in court on Tuesday, the first time he has appeared in the capital since losing an appeal in September 2005 against conviction for fraud and tax evasion.
