Leaders of the six-year-old Sanaa Cooperation Forum -- comprising Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen -- will meet in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, on December 30 to discuss regional issues, a Yemeni official said here Thursday.
The summit will be preceded by preparatory meetings on Saturday and Sunday, said Foreign Undersecretary for Arab, African and Asian Affairs Ali Al-Aiash to reporters.
The summit will discuss several political and security issues, mainly cooperation among the member countries against terrorism and piracy, Somalia and Darfur crisis, together with the latest regional and international developments, he added.
It will be the second time for the Sudanese capital to host the four-member Sanaa Cooperation Forum. Somalia joined the group at Khartoum summit in late December 2004.
