At least one person was wounded in a blast at a market place in the Nepali capital on Thursday, police said, the second such explosion in under a week.
No one has claimed responsibility for the blast outside a shopping mall in the heart of Kathmandu, the city's police control room said.
One person was wounded in a similar blast near Kathmandu's international airport last Saturday.
More than 13,000 people were killed during a decade-long civil war in Nepal which ended in 2006 in a peace deal with Maoist rebels.
The Maoists now lead a coalition government after emerging as the biggest political party in an election in April last year.
