Six Turkish soldiers were seriously wounded on Wednesday when a mine planted by PKK went off in the southeastern part of the country, Turkish military sources said.

The bombing occurred as a Turkish patrol vehicle was searching the village of Lice, close to Kurdish-majority city of Diyarbakr, NTV network quoted the sources as saying, noting that the wounded people were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

PKK often plant mines and bombs on unpaved roads used by military machinery.
