S.Korea conservatives win parliament majority-TV
The conservative party of South Korea's new President Lee Myung-bak won a majority in Wednesday's parliamentary election, according to projections by KBS and MBC TV networks.

The victory for Lee's Grand National Party would give him the parliamentary support to push through sweeping tax cuts and business-friendly reforms he says are needed to revive Asia's fourth-largest economy.

The TV projection gave the party between 155-178 of the 299 seats at stake.
