Slovakian diplomat opens photograph exhibition in Turkey

A Slovakian diplomat has inaugurated a photograph exhibition in the Turkish capital of Ankara.

Slovakian Attache to Turkey Martin Cako and his spouse Monika opened a photograph exhibition at Ankara's Erenus Art Gallery within the scope of "Ties and Dialogues II" projects of the Slovakian Embassy in Ankara.

Sixty photographs taken in various Turkish cities are on display in the exhibition.

"I have tried to see every corner of Turkey," Martin Cako told AA correspondent on Wednesday.

Cako has been working at the Slovakian Embassy in Ankara for four years.

"I have traveled about 70,000 kilometers throughout Turkey with my wife," Cako said.

Cako said that the eastern Anatolia drew their interest the most because in that region, they could see the cultural difference with Slovakia the most.

They highlighted not only Turkey's cultural and historical heritage but also Turkish people in their exhibition, Cako also said.

Earlier, Cako opened a photograph exhibition on Ottoman heritage in Slovakia. He is also planning to open this new photograph exhibition in Slovakia after he returns home in February.

The exhibition will stay open till January 24.
