Two central Swedish provinces experienced a steep drop in temperatures and a sudden bout of snowfall on Thursday amid early summer.
Temperatures in the Harjedalen and Dalarna provinces dropped sharply from more than 20 degrees Celsius and the two regions were covered by five centimeters of snow overnight on Thursday.
Local weathermen described the snowfall as "very unusual" in Sweden at this time of the year. They said the snowfall was caused by the convergence of two low pressure centers moving northward.
