Three American soldiers were killed and another wounded in two attacks in Baghdad and northern Iraq on Saturday, the U.S. military said on Monday.
Two U.S. soldiers died of wounds sustained when a roadside bomb went off near their vehicle while conducting operations in the Iraqi capital, the military said in a statement.
One more soldier was wounded during the attack and evacuated to an army medical facility for treatment, it added.
A third soldier died of injures sustained from another explosion while conducting operations in Iraq's province of Kirkuk, some 250 km north of Baghdad, a statement said.
The names of the killed soldiers are being withheld pending notification of next of kin, the statements said.
About 3,525 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion on Iraq in March 2003, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.
