The Indian troops, during violent military operations, martyred two youth each at Kunan Poshpora in Kupwara and Pouni in Udhampur districts. Another youth was shot dead at Chamliyal in Jammu.

The troops, by heavy mortar shelling and firing, destroyed one residential house at Dedikote in Kupwara district and two dead bodies were recovered from the debris. 

A Photojournalist of English Daily, Kashmir Times, was thrashed by the troops of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) near the Palladium Cinema in Srinagar. The incident sparked forceful protest demonstrations by photojournalists. The protestors demanded an immediate end to massive human rights violations committed by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir. 

Meanwhile, troops, during checking, frisking and so-called siege and search operations, arrested seventy-six youth from Islamabad, Pulwama, Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla and Kupwara districts.
